As we age, skin loses its elasticity.  Facial wrinkles and the appearance of cellulite increases because of a decrease in collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin levels in the skin.  The PROFOUND RF system provides a non-surgical alternative to address aging skin.  Using radiofrequency (RF) energy, a clinically proven and well-researched technology, long lasting wrinkle reduction and improvement on the appearance of cellulite can be achieved.

PROFOUND RF is most often used around the mouth, cheeks, and on the neck, but it can also be used on the body to diminish the appearance of cellulite.  Results of a PROFOUND RF treatment are long-lasting. Each treatment begins with an injection of local anesthesia to numb the area that’s being treated. A handheld device holding a sterile disposable cartridge is gently pressed into your skin.  Microneedles enter the dermal layer of the skin and the precise RF energy generates heat creating precise micro-injuries in the dermal layer of the skin. The device is lifted and moved to treat each patch of skin until the entire area has been treated.

Most people have 2-3 days of downtime with some bruising and swelling. Aftercare is limited to gentle cleaning and application of Aquaphor to the treated area for 48 hours.

Because of the ongoing physiologic processes in the treated skin, patients can expect to see their best result from PROFOUND RF treatment approximately 3-6 months after the date of their procedure. The results last indefinitely and the aging process is effectively set back.
