Breast Revision on Long Island
If you aren’t happy with the results of a previous breast augmentation, reduction, lift, or reconstruction, we understand how frustrating and devastating it can be. The good news is, you have options. A breast revision with an expert plastic surgeon can help correct deformities resulting from previous surgeries, including capsular contracture, implant malposition, rippling, ruptures, and more. With personalized consultations and cutting-edge techniques, Harris Plastic Surgery is the premier provider of breast revision on Long Island.
Expert Breast Revision on Long Island
We know this is a big decision for you, especially if you’ve previously had a breast augmentation, other cosmetic procedure, or a breast reconstruction that didn’t go to plan or deliver the results you were hoping for. Our dedicated team is with you every step of the way, from your first consultation to your recovery. Here’s what that process looks like.
Initial Consult
From your very first meeting with Dr. Harris, you’ll feel the Harris Plastic Surgery difference. Dr. Harris has more than 30 years of experience as a plastic surgeon and takes the time to carefully listen to each and every patient.
He’ll want to hear your goals and concerns, learn about your prior breast procedures, explain his process and incision techniques, present options, and help you make the decision that’s right for you. You’ll never feel rushed, and your questions are always welcome.
Tailored Surgical Plans
Your breasts are unique, just like you! Dr. Harris meticulously develops a thorough, individualized surgical plan based on your specific anatomy and goals.
This customized assessment is key to a smooth, successful breast revision and is one of the reasons why Harris Plastic Surgery sees such positive patient outcomes. With careful pre-surgery planning, we make sure you can finally feel like the most confident version of yourself.
Surgery Day
For most of our patients, surgery is performed in an outpatient center, where you’ll be under general anesthesia and won’t feel a thing. Dr. Harris uses state-of-the-art surgical techniques to minimize incisions and scar tissue formation, which leads to a better end result and also reduces your recovery time.
Our breast revision patients are able to return home the same day, and we’ll make sure you have everything you need to get your recovery underway.
Healing & Support
Although the surgery itself is performed under general anesthesia, we also use an injectable long-lasting local anesthetic to increase your comfort and reduce the need for opioid-based pain relief.
Patients can usually manage pain with over-the-counter options, and (while everybody’s recovery journey is different) most can return to work after around two weeks. Our team will support you throughout the healing process, and we’re only a phone call away should you have any questions or concerns.

Are You a Good Candidate for Breast Revision Surgery?
Breast revision surgery can address complications with existing implants, such as rupture, capsular contracture, or shifting, and is also a solution for women considering implant removal or exploring non-implant alternatives.
Whether you’re seeking correction from a breast lift procedure, a breast reconstruction, or simply want a change, a breast revision is designed to help you feel more confident and comfortable in your body. You may be a good candidate for breast revision surgery if:
- You are experiencing issues with your current breast implants (e.g., rupture, capsular contracture, or displacement)
- You’re unhappy with the appearance, size, or feel of your implants
- You’re considering implant removal (explant surgery)
- You’re thinking of switching to a different type of implant
- You are generally in good physical health
- You are a non-smoker or willing to stop smoking before and after surgery
- You have realistic expectations about the results
- You are committed to following post-operative care instructions
- Your previous breast surgery was performed at least several months ago
Dr. Harris performs breast revision surgery for adults of various ages, commonly ranging from their 20s to their 60s.
